Modular Cambox for Camshaft-less Diesel Injection Pump Testing
EAN: 8053670081796
Part Number (SKU): MARBED 9562-M1Core modular Cambox unit for camshaft-less diesel injection pump testing, designed to reproduce external camshaft actuation during test bench operations.
Marbed 9562-M1 Modular Cambox System
The Marbed 9562-M1 is the core unit of a modular Cambox system designed for testing camshaft-less diesel injection pumps.
Installed as an add-on to a diesel injection test bench, it acts as the mechanical interface between the test bench drive and the injection pump, allowing external camshaft actuation to be reproduced for pumps that do not include an internal camshaft.
The system is configured using dedicated components depending on the pump type, including camshafts, mounting plates, rod systems and spacer elements.
It is not a standalone testing system and must be integrated with application-specific components to achieve the required configuration..
What this product is
The Cambox is a mechanical interface between the test bench drive and the injection pump, allowing controlled external camshaft actuation during testing.
This is required for pump types where the camshaft is not integrated into the pump body, such as many in-line injection pumps commonly referred to in workshop terminology as “PFR-type” systems (including PFR, PFM, PFE and similar variants).
Important – Not a standalone system
The 9562-M1 is not a complete testing system.
It must be used together with additional components (sold individually or as part of preconfigured kits) and installed on a diesel injection test bench.
Key functions
- External camshaft simulation for camshaft-less pumps
- Controlled actuation of pump elements
- Integration with standard diesel injection test benches
- Modular configuration for different pump types
Modular system concept
The Cambox is part of a modular system where each application requires a specific combination of components, including:
- Cambox unit (9562-M1)
- Camshaft components (9564-A / B / C / E)
- Pump-specific mounting plates (9562-A / B / C / D / E…)
- Rod (9562-F / H / L) and guide system (9562-G / R / I / LB) for rack control
- Spacer elements for height adjustment (9562-M4 / M5)
- Clamping and coupling components (9478-BXS / 9680-A / 9576)
This allows the same base unit to be adapted to multiple pump configurations.
How the system works
This allows controlled actuation of the pump elements and realistic testing conditions on a standard diesel injection test bench.
The Cambox system reproduces this movement by:
- driving a camshaft assembly
- transmitting motion to the pump elements
- allowing controlled rack movement through a rod system
This setup enables realistic testing conditions on a standard diesel injection test bench.
Modular height and spacer logic
The Cambox is designed with a fixed minimum height.
Since pump dimensions vary depending on application, spacer elements can be used when required to:
- achieve correct mechanical alignment
- compensate for dimensional differences
- ensure proper actuation geometry
This allows the system to adapt to multiple pump configurations.
When to choose the 9562-M1
This solution is suitable when:
- testing camshaft-less diesel injection pumps
- working with multiple pump types
- custom configurations are required
- flexibility is needed in workshop operations
Predefined configurations available
To simplify setup for common applications, predefined configurations are available:
| Kit Code | Description | Typical Applications |
| 9562-W | 1 wooden box | Workshop base kit (Bosch PFR..K pumps) |
| 9562-KW | 2 wooden boxes | Multi-brand applications (Bosch + Zexel KX + Denso + Stanadyne) |
| 9562-KWY | 3 wooden boxes | Extended configurations (Bosch + Zexel KX + Denso + Stanadyne + Yanmar) |
| 9562-ZX2 | 1 wooden box | Zexel expert kit (MD / KD / KX pumps) |
Each configuration is based on the 9562-M1 core unit combined with specific components.
Use cases
- Testing camshaft-less injection pumps
- Calibration and diagnostic procedures
- Diesel injection test bench integration
- Multi-application workshop environments
Material and construction
The Marbed 9562-M1 Universal Modular Cambox was developed to eliminate configuration complexity through a modular and adaptable system.
Machined from cast iron, it ensures rigidity, precision and long-term reliability in workshop environments.
⚠️ The 9562-M1 itself does not include a camshaft.
It is the base module and must be completed with the appropriate spacers, plates and camshaft depending on the pump family.
Key Benefits
- Universal base for multiple pump types
- High rigidity and dimensional accuracy (cast iron construction)
- Compatible with standard diesel test benches (Deteq, Bosch, Hartridge, Maktest…)
- Precise mechanical alignment
- Fully modular and upgradeable system
