This programming kit provides the application software, cabling, documentation and reference test data required for the Bosch VE-EDC family covered by the supplied adapter cable.

Supplied as the standard pump adapter with this kit. It is similar to Bosch reference 0 986 612 434.

The documented applications include connectors commonly used on IVECO, FIAT, ALFA and LANCIA pumps. Additional adapter cables are available separately for other VE-EDC configurations.

The kit includes access to the available test data for pumps that can be connected through adapter cable 81.02.434. The original page documents registration and acceptance of the license agreement as the route for receiving this reference data.

This kit does not replace the ERT45R control unit

Resistive regulator

Use this kit for first-generation Bosch VE-EDC pumps using the resistive regulator technology.

81.01.1012 · VE-HDK

Inductive regulator

Use this kit for second-generation Bosch VE-HDK pumps using the inductive regulator technology.

The two technologies are electrically different. The 1011 and 1012 perform the same role inside the ERT45R system, but they are not interchangeable and should not be combined as if one were an extension of the other. Select the programming kit according to the regulator fitted to the pump.

Electronic advance-piston travel measurement

The optional 81.01.1001 sensor allows advance-piston displacement to be read electronically on the ERT45R display, using the appropriate pump adapter.

OTA electrical diagnostics

The optional 81.21.090 OTA interface simplifies continuity, resistance and short-circuit checks on pump sensors and actuators before connection to ERT45R.

Fuel-temperature monitoring

VTR110 can be added to monitor fuel temperature at the pump outlet and support faster temperature management during testing.

Shared Bosch VE adapter-cable family

The 81.01.1011 and 81.01.1012 kits belong to the same Bosch VE electronic-pump ecosystem and share the wider family of application-specific adapter cables. The cable required depends on the connector and pump configuration; 81.01.1011 is supplied with 81.02.434 as its standard adapter.

The product relationships already associated with 81.01.1011 include application cables for Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, Opel, Ford, PSA/Mercedes, Rover, Chrysler, Nissan and other documented VE-EDC configurations.

The application investment remains part of the ERT45R ecosystem

The programming smartcard is authorized for the ERT45R unit or units associated with the workshop. If the card is damaged or lost, the complete programming kit does not need to be purchased again when the original kit purchase can be documented and the corresponding ERT45R serial number is known.

For workshops operating two ERT45R control units, the application can be authorized for both units, increasing operational flexibility without duplicating the programming-kit investment.
