Compact pneumatic press for CRI and CRIN ball valves
EAN: 8053670080966
Part Number (SKU): 8210Compact pneumatic press for restoring the sealing seat of the ball valve in Bosch CRI and CRIN common rail injectors.
The operation is not a grinding process: a geometrically accurate hardened-metal ball is pressed against the conical seat to restore the sealing surface without removing material.
Supplied with a set of 10 hardened-metal balls. Each ball can be used for up to 100 pressing operations and must not be confused with the ball normally used as an injector spare part.
Marbed 8210 is a compact pneumatic press developed for reconditioning the ball-valve seat of Bosch CRI and CRIN common rail injectors.
Instead of grinding the conical seat and removing hardened material, the 8210 uses a geometrically accurate hardened-metal ball and a controlled pneumatic pressing action to restore the sealing contact surface.
Key benefits
- Restores the sealing seat without a grinding operation.
- Designed for Bosch CRI and CRIN injector repair work.
- Simple pneumatic operation using workshop compressed air.
- Repeatable pressing procedure with a dedicated fixture.
- Supplied with 10 hardened-metal balls for the reconditioning operation.
Operating principle
The injector valve body is positioned in the fixture, one of the dedicated hardened-metal balls is placed on the seat, and the pneumatic press applies the seating load for a few seconds.
Technical essentials
- Operation: pneumatic
- Compressed air: 6-10 bar
- Pressing time: approximately 5 seconds
- Applications: Bosch CRI and CRIN common rail injectors
- Included: set of 10 hardened-metal balls
Important note
The supplied hardened-metal balls are working tools for the seat-reconditioning process. They are not the balls normally installed as injector spare parts. Each working ball can be used for up to 100 pressing operations.
MARBED 8210 - Injector repair equipment
Restore the ball-valve seat without grinding the hardened conical surface
The 8210 is designed for a very specific repair operation on Bosch CRI and CRIN common rail injectors: restoring the sealing contact of the ball valve after service or wear.
The principle is deliberately different from grinding. No hardened material is intentionally removed from the conical seat. Instead, a geometrically accurate hardened-metal ball is pressed against the seat so that the contact surface is reconditioned by controlled deformation.
This makes the 8210 a dedicated workshop tool for technicians who want a repeatable procedure rather than an improvised seating operation.
At a glance
- Bosch CRI and CRIN injector applications
- Pneumatic operation: 6-10 bar
- Approx. 5-second pressing cycle
- 10 dedicated hardened-metal balls supplied
- Each working ball: up to 100 pressing operations
How the reconditioning operation works
A short, controlled sequence using standard workshop compressed air.
1. Connect air
Connect workshop compressed air at 6-10 bar.
2. Position the body
Insert and correctly support the injector valve body in the fixture.
3. Insert the working ball
Place one of the supplied hardened-metal balls on the seat.
4. Press
Operate the pneumatic press for approximately 5 seconds.
5. Inspect
Remove the part and continue with the normal injector service and verification procedure.
What the 8210 does
- Provides a dedicated fixture and controlled pressing action for the ball-valve seat.
- Uses a geometrically accurate hardened-metal ball as the working interface.
- Helps standardize an operation that would otherwise be difficult to reproduce consistently.
What it is not
- It is not a grinding machine.
- It is not intended to remove hardened material from the conical seat.
- The supplied balls are not replacement injector balls; they are working tools used during reconditioning.
Original Marbed documentation
The 8210 has been documented in successive Marbed catalogues. The original pages are retained here as technical and historical reference material.

Workshop notes
The 8210 is intended as a dedicated repair aid within a complete injector-service process. Correct cleaning, inspection and final verification of the injector remain necessary before returning the component to service.
A set of 10 hardened-metal working balls is supplied with the machine. According to the original product information, each ball can be used for up to 100 pressing operations.

Is the 8210 a grinding tool?
No. Its operating principle is based on controlled pressing with a hardened-metal ball rather than removal of material from the conical seat.
What injector families is it intended for?
The available Marbed documentation identifies Bosch CRI and CRIN common rail injector applications.
What air pressure is required?
The original operating sequence specifies workshop compressed air in the 6-10 bar range.
Are the supplied balls normal injector spare parts?
No. They are dedicated hardened-metal working balls used during the seat-reconditioning operation.
