Testing Accumulator Assembly for Common Rail pump testing
A high-pressure accumulator assembly that recreates the hydraulic function required to test Common Rail pumps with the ERT45R system.
Designed for operation in high-pressure environments up to 2500 bar, the assembly combines the accumulator volume with the mounting of the pressure sensor and pressure control valve.
Its internal hydraulic arrangement also keeps the fuel discharged by the pressure control valve separate from the accumulator volume. This makes the pressure-control return available as a distinct circuit for the ERT45R Common Rail test method.
More than a pressure vessel
Accumulates
Provides the hydraulic volume used to simulate the Common Rail environment during pump testing.
Controls pressure
Houses the pressure sensor and pressure control valve used by the ERT45R pressure-control system.
Separates return flow
Keeps fuel drained by the pressure control valve on a separate circuit instead of mixing it with the accumulator volume.
Monitors temperature
An integrated temperature sensor allows pressure and fuel temperature to be monitored during the test.
Pressure, temperature and overpressure protection
The assembly integrates both pressure and temperature sensing, so the principal hydraulic variables can be monitored together during Common Rail pump testing.
A fail-safe safety valve provides protection against dangerous overpressure conditions.
The result is a compact hydraulic module that brings together accumulation, pressure regulation, return-flow separation, temperature monitoring and overpressure protection in the ERT45R Common Rail test architecture.
Part of the ERT45R Common Rail measurement architecture
The Testing Accumulator works together with the ERT45R control unit and the FL400/A continuous flow meter.
During a Common Rail pump test, the accumulator provides the high-pressure hydraulic environment and pressure-control function. The separated low-pressure circuits can then be used to evaluate the relevant fuel flows with the FL400/A.
In practical terms: ERT45R controls the pump and pressure strategy, 87.11.030A creates and manages the high-pressure hydraulic environment, and FL400/A provides continuous flow measurement.
