Electrical diagnostics should not require three hands
Holding the pump connector while touching two small pins with two multimeter probes is awkward by definition: the job seems to require three hands. OTA turns that workshop nuisance into a simple selection task.
Connect to OTA the same application adapter cable used to test the pump on the bench. The two multimeter probes remain securely inserted in the OTA measuring points. From that moment, the two rotary selectors create the required combinations between the connector contacts.
Instead of chasing pins with the probes, simply select the two contacts you want to measure.
Two selectors replace awkward manual probing.
Move from one contact combination to the next by turning the knobs.
Fixed measuring points and gold-plated contacts support stable, repeatable connections.

A practical protection step before electronic pump testing
Electronically controlled diesel pumps combine actuators, sensors and application-specific wiring. Before connecting a pump to the ERT45R control unit, resistance, continuity and possible short-circuit conditions can be checked with OTA and a multimeter.
This complements the electrical protections of the control unit: protection during operation and preliminary circuit verification solve two different parts of the same workshop problem.
From the pump connector to a stable measuring point
Connect the application cable
Use the appropriate pump adapter cable so the circuit under test is brought to the OTA interface.
Select the contacts
Rotate the two selectors to choose the required electrical-contact combination without repeatedly moving the meter probes through the pump connector.
Measure with the multimeter
Perform the required ohmic, continuity or short-circuit checks from the fixed measuring points.
One diagnostic interface across multiple ERT45R applications
OTA is not tied to one pump family. Its practical value comes from working with the appropriate application adapter cables used across the ERT45R ecosystem, allowing the same diagnostic principle to be reused on different electronically controlled diesel-pump applications.
Functionally, the interface provides a workshop solution comparable in purpose to Bosch 0 986 611 929.
