Add Denso ECD-V5 testing capability to the ERT45R platform
DETEQ 81.01.1041 enables the ERT45R control unit to operate and test Denso ECD-V5 rotary pumps on a suitable diesel injection test bench.
The programming kit adds the application-specific electronic interface to the ERT45R platform. The workshop continues to use its test bench for the mechanical drive and hydraulic measurements, while the ERT45R provides the dedicated electronic control layer for the ECD-V5 application.
What the 81.01.1041 kit includes
Programming smartcard

Provides the base electrical connection between the ERT45R and the application-specific pump cables.

One application kit inside a modular test platform
Testing a digitally controlled rotary pump requires more than the application cable set alone. For ECD-V5, the ERT45R architecture separates the universal control platform, the digital angular reference and the pump-specific integration equipment.
1 — ERT45R control unit
81.01.080B is the universal programmable electronic control platform. The same unit can be extended to additional pump applications through dedicated programming kits.
2 — Digital pump phasing
81.01.1A01 provides the angular reference required for digitally controlled pumps, with an electronic angular reader offering 0.01° resolution. The system is also used with other supported digital-pump families.
3 — ECD-V5 integration
81.01.1A41 completes the 81.01.1A01 system for Denso ECD-V5 pumps with pump-side coupling components, a Ø50 mm mounting flange and fittings for transfer-pressure measurement.
Extend the configuration when additional measurement or diagnosis is required
Electronic advance-piston travel measurement
81.01.1001 is the universal electronic advance-piston travel sensor. Used with the dedicated 81.07.3030 adapter, it adds electronic advance-piston travel measurement for Denso ECD-V pumps, including ECD-V5.
This is a measurement extension and is not part of the 81.01.1041 programming kit.
Electrical diagnosis and temperature management
81.21.090 OTA facilitates continuity and short-circuit checks on pump sensors and actuators using the adapter cables supplied with the programming kits.
70.12.500 VTR110 monitors fuel temperature at the pump outlet and can help reduce test time during temperature-management phases.
EXPAND WITHOUT REPLACING THE PLATFORM
ECD-V5 is a separate application on the same ERT45R
Denso ECD-V3 and ECD-V4 are covered by programming kit 81.01.1042. ECD-V5 uses the separate 81.01.1041 programming kit and its corresponding 81.01.1A41 integration equipment.
The distinction is important: the application-specific equipment changes, while the ERT45R control platform and the 81.01.1A01 digital phasing architecture can remain part of the workshop's reusable test capability.
Testing capability and reference test data are two different things
The 81.01.1041 provides the ERT45R application capability required to operate and test Denso ECD-V5 pumps. Reference test data are a separate resource and may be supplied where available.
For this reason, availability of a particular test specification should be checked against the exact pump reference rather than assumed from the ECD-V5 family designation alone.
Clear scope of this product
81.01.1041 is the ERT45R programming kit for Denso ECD-V5. It does not replace the ERT45R control unit, the test bench, the digital phasing equipment or application-specific mechanical integration components.
Detailed ECD-V5 control functions are intentionally not generalized from the ECD-V3/V4 application: the configuration described here is limited to functions and equipment documented specifically for the V5 application.
