Zexel Covec-F1 / F2: electronic regulator control plus timing-position feedback
Operate and monitor the electronic functions of Zexel Covec-F rotary distributor pumps while the existing diesel test bench provides mechanical drive and fuel-delivery measurement.
The operating concept is closely related to Bosch VE-HDK control: ERT45R controls the electronic regulator. Covec-F adds an important feedback signal—the TPS (Timing Position Sensor)—which ERT45R reads during the test.
CONTROL PRINCIPLE
Control the electronic regulator from the ERT45R
For a diesel specialist, the mechanical architecture remains that of a familiar rotary distributor pump. The important difference is the electronic control of fuel delivery and timing.
ERT45R adds the electronic control layer required to operate the Covec-F regulator while the suitable conventional test bench remains responsible for drive and hydraulic measurement.
TIMING FEEDBACK
Read the TPS — Timing Position Sensor
Compared with the basic VE-HDK control concept, Covec-F adds timing-position feedback. ERT45R reads the pump's TPS during the test.
The operator can therefore control the electronic regulator and monitor timing position within the same ERT45R application environment.

Add Covec-F capability without replacing the ERT45R platform
The 81.01.1022 is an application extension of the ERT45R ecosystem. The control unit remains the same; the workshop adds the authorized Covec-F application and the connection equipment needed for the pumps it handles.
As with the other ERT45R applications, the smartcard is the application key. If it is lost or damaged, the application investment does not have to be purchased again when the original kit purchase and authorized ERT45R can be documented.
