MARBED 8230
Protect the test bench. Protect the injection system.
The 8230 is a magnetic diesel fuel filter designed for two real operating environments: the diesel workshop test bench and the engine / vehicle fuel system.

In the workshop: protect the test bench
During high-pressure pump testing, contamination and metallic particles coming from the pump under test can enter the bench fuel circuit. The 8230 helps prevent this contamination from circulating through the test equipment.
This is particularly relevant when testing pumps that can generate metallic debris following internal wear or failure, including failure mechanisms documented on Bosch CP4 applications.
On the engine: protect downstream injectors
Installed in the vehicle fuel circuit, the same filtration principle helps intercept contamination released by the high-pressure pump before it can continue downstream towards the injectors.
The objective is to limit the propagation of metallic contamination through the high-pressure injection system.
Why magnetic filtration matters
A very fine mechanical filter alone cannot retain every particle. The 8230 therefore combines mechanical and magnetic filtration instead of relying on a single filtering principle.
10 µm stainless-steel cartridge
Provides fine mechanical filtration of contaminants carried by the diesel fuel.
Wide magnetic surface
Captures very fine ferrous particles, including metallic contamination small enough to pass through the mechanical filter.

Maintenance
Regular inspection and periodic cleaning are recommended, at least once per year.
- Unscrew the transparent bowl from the aluminium body for servicing.
- Clean the magnetic section with compressed air.
- Clean the stainless-steel filter cartridge with gasoline or a suitable solvent.
Configuration
The standard filter uses M22×1.5 inlet and outlet connections. Optional fittings are available for adapting the filter to different fuel circuit connections.
