According to the official Volvo Penta repair instructions, the injection timing procedure may involve the following special tools:
- Volvo Penta 884895 — flywheel locking pin
- Volvo Penta 884954 — dial indicator
- Volvo Penta 885139 — dial indicator holder
- Volvo Penta 885301 — advance piston reset tool
Current research status
The purpose of this discussion is to identify the corresponding Bosch or aftermarket tool references and determine which InjectionPower / Marbed tools can perform the same functions.
Information currently under evaluation:
- Volvo Penta 884895 may correspond functionally to a spring-loaded flywheel locking pin.
- The dial indicator and its holder must be identified separately.
- The advance piston reset tool appears to mechanically hold the VE advance piston in the required position during timing adjustment.
