The advance test plugs are used to connect pressure-measuring equipment to the automatic advance system of CAV/Lucas/Delphi diesel injection pumps.

Where are they fitted?

The test plug is installed in place of the original advance pressure end plug, located at the pressure end of the pump's automatic advance housing.

The procedure is straightforward:

  1. Stop the test bench.
  2. Remove the original advance pressure end plug.
  3. Fit the appropriate test plug.
  4. Connect it to a pressure gauge using a suitable fuel connection.

This allows pressure measurements to be taken during the advance testing procedure.

Which test plug kit should be used?

InjectionPower offers two different MARBED kits:

MARBED 1-B — Advance Test Plugs for DPS Pumps

A set of 8 test plugs (A–H) for pressure testing on CAV/Lucas/Delphi DPS pumps.

MARBED 8041 — Advance Test Plug Kit for DP200 Pumps

A set of 9 adapters for advance testing applications on Delphi/CAV DP200 pumps.

Important: The appropriate test plug and testing conditions depend on the specific pump configuration. Always refer to the applicable pump test specifications.

These adapters are temporary testing accessories, not permanent replacement parts.
